Towne Lake Homeowners' Association, Pooler GA

It’s that time of year again for the nomination of our Board members for the next year.  We thank all that have served for the year 2013.  As directed by our covenants, the Vice President, Harold Potts, will take the position of President for 2014 and Mack Pierce will move from acting President to Past President and remain on the board for 2014.

Below is a link to the ballot with the verified nominees for the homeowners’ association board for 2014.  The voting will take place through December 6.  The three candidates with the most votes will fill the positions.

Pooler Water Park

The much anticipated water park is coming, and will be within walking distance from the Towne Lake neighborhood!  The Pooler City Council approved an infrastructure site plan on Aug 5, 2013, for the proposed water park on Towne Center Drive off Benton Boulevard.  Current expectations are an opening in late Spring 2014. Plans for the park include a lazy river, water slides, a spray deck, a pool for small children, beach areas and possibly a surf machine.

New Pooler Retail Center

The Pooler Retail Center is coming in June 2013 and will be located next to the Royal Cinemas and Sk8 Park on Benton Boulevard.  Local residents of Towne Lake are responsible for this new attraction.  According to Pooler Magazine, the stores in Phase 1 will include: Stevi B’s Pizza Buffet, T-Mobile, Frozen Treats and Yogurt Shop, Color Boxx and one open spot.  Phase II is planned to be built in September 2013, and include Molly McPherson’s [Irish Pub and Eatery] and Pooler Dollar store with more space available.

Village on Pooler Parkway

Click here to view a map of the new stores coming to Pooler, just next door to the Towne Lake Neighborhood on Pooler Parkway.  Of course things could change, but this map is the current plans as posted by GBT Realty for what is called Village on Pooler Parkway.  Stores include: Panera, Olive Garden, McDonalds, Jalapenos, TJ Maxx, Jersey Mike’s, Moes Southwest Grill, Kirklands, Ross, Michaels and more.

All residents are welcome to attend the board meeting on June 3 at 7pm.  The meeting will be conducted at the Pavilion.

There will be a Community Work day to “Spruce up the pool and pavilion”, on Saturday May 11, beginning at 9:00am.  Please come join us and help keep the community looking  nice.

The “Official” opening of the pool will be Saturday, April 27.  All certifications and clearances from the Health Department have been granted.

The annual Towne Lake HOA meeting is scheduled for April 15 at 7:00pm.  The meeting will be held at the community pavilion.  We encourage you to attend the meeting.

Please pay your 2nd quarter Towne Lake HOA dues by April 1.
