Towne Lake Meeting Canceled Due to Thunderstorm (July 11, 2017)

The July 11, 2017 meeting of the Towne Lake HOA has been cancelled due to the thunderstorm in the area.  We will update this post with the rescheduled meeting time once it has been finalized.

UPDATE: The July meeting is cancelled and will not be rescheduled.  We are only a couple weeks away from the August meeting, so it doesn’t make sense to meet in late July and the first week of August.  We welcome the neighborhood to join us on the first Tue in Aug (Aug 1, 2017)

We support the American Flag

We support residents who wish to fly the American flag. We are not the same Towne Lake Community that has received press coverage for limiting residents to flying the American flag on only certain days.  That Towne Lake is located in Cherokee County (north of Atlanta).

Chatham County Lawn Water Restrictions

Chatham County Lawn Water Restrictions

Chatham County Water Restrictions:
Water is our most precious natural resource and in a movement to acknowledge its value the state legislature passed the Georgia Water Stewardship Act in 2010. The Act places restrictions on outdoor water use for all Georgians. It uses sound science and a little common sense to limit irrigation of yards to the morning, late afternoon, and evening hours. Georgians may NOT use outdoor water to irrigate between the hours of 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

Here in the City of Savannah and throughout Chatham County, our water challenges started back in the 1940’s when we discovered that saltwater was contaminating the Floridan Aquifer. This aquifer provides our high-quality drinking water. In June 2006 Savannah and all of Chatham County were declared a Red Zone by the Georgian Environmental Protection Division, which means we must manage our water more strictly.  Savannah’s drinking water permit limits our water customers (residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial) to a three day outdoor water use schedule as follows:

NO watering on Fridays
NO watering between 10am and 4pm….AND

Follow the 3 day watering schedule:
Even-numbered properties may water Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays
Odd-numbered properties may water Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays

For more information or if you have any questions, please call 912-651-2221.
